Looks like there's no end in sight for the kids (and adults) who can't get enough Virtual Pet -style action. And they obviously don't care how crappy the game looks, either.
From this Ubisoft press release:
Dogz and Catz series have already won over a huge audience, are currently among the top 10 games on Game Boy Advance. Players create and control a cute furry pet that they choose from a selection of many different breeds. Players can take their pets everywhere within the virtual environment, starting inside the house and walking around the neighborhood to visit friends... We're building upon the success of our existing Dogz and Catz franchises and introducing new animals that consumers are sure to adore.
Then again... call me inhumane... but if anything needs to be parachuted out a window, thrown down the laundry chute, dressed up in doll clothes and ribbons, or mounted like horse and ridden around under the crushing weight of our toddler, I'd rather have it be fluffy the cat and not our $150 Nintendo DS Lite.
