Let's be realistic here: Facebook is crack. Your high school sweetheart is on crack. All your friends are on crack. Even your mom is on crack. In this scenario, how easy do you really think it's gonna be to quit crack?
If anything, it looks like all this hubbub about privacy is actually fueling Facebook's popularity by a moderately small amount (according to this article ).
(Bonus thought: if you're so terribly concerned about privacy, what the heck are you doing revealing your innermost thoughts on a website that all your friends can read anyway?)
